Hagerty Votes Against Regan to lead EPA

March 10, 2021

WASHINGTON – United States Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) today opposed the confirmation of Michael Regan to lead the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

“Michael Regan is being placed at the EPA not to pursue a responsible, common sense agenda that protects our clean air and water and jobs, but instead to carry the water for an extremist agenda,” said Senator Hagerty. “An agenda that will destroy jobs, ignore federalism, and drastically grow the power of the federal government at the expense of many American workers, including farmers across Tennessee. The United States needs an EPA Administrator who understands that job growth and environmental protection are not mutually exclusive.”
