Hagerty Statement on U.S. Supreme Court’s Ruling Upholding Religious Freedom

WASHINGTON—United States Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) today released the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 9-0 in favor of a Roman Catholic adoption agency in Fulton v. City of Philadelphia:

“I applaud the U.S. Supreme Court for its ruling today upholding the foundational, constitutional right of religious freedom. No person should be forced to violate his or her deeply held religious beliefs.”
