Partial Transcript Below:

Hagerty on Democrats’ taxing and spending spree: “We’re going to have to stand as firm as possible. I mean what the Democrats are talking about is another tsunami of spending financed by another massive tax increase on job creators, on capital. Everything that we need to get our economy moving in the right direction is what they want to stifle with their tax plan. They really are revealing—the infrastructure package that [they are] talking about is really a Trojan horse for more tax increases. That’s what they want, is the ability to stick it to the job creators in America.”

Hagerty on bipartisan infrastructure negotiations: “I haven’t seen the details of the proposal, but I think what they’re doing is they’re pulling Democrats along, more moderate Democrats, who I don’t think want to see the economy of the United States destroyed by the socialist wish list expenditures. Bernie Sanders is talking about another $6 trillion. This will be devastating to the economy, and I think that there are certain Democrats that understand that that’s where they’re trying to move in a direction of finding some sort of middle ground. It sounds like Bernie Sanders isn’t looking for any middle ground though.”

Hagerty on Biden’s performance at the G7 Summit: “You heard [France] President [Emmanuel] Macron say it: ‘Welcome back to the club’. Joe Biden and the D.C. establishment are back. The Europeans are thrilled with this. Now they’ve got an America—who wants again to lead from behind, and that couldn’t thrill the Europeans and the Russians more […] President Trump did so much to bring America forward, to bring us to the fore. And it seems that they are, in a knee-jerk fashion, just trying to undo all of that every day, all day.”
