Hagerty Announces 2023 Second Session Summer Interns

WASHINGTON—United States Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) today announced the students serving as interns in his Washington, D.C. office for the 2023 second summer session.

“It is an honor to welcome these accomplished and hardworking students to my office this summer,” said Senator Hagerty. “An internship in the U.S. Senate will provide these young men and women with an invaluable opportunity to see first-hand the operations and functions of the Legislative Branch as they deliberate what direction they want to take their careers. I am grateful for their service and hope that their service on my staff will prove a bright spot in their promising futures.”

Lily Butler is from Clarksville, Tennessee. She is a senior at the College of William & Mary, where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Government.

John Coleman is from Pacific Palisades, California. He is a sophomore at Dartmouth College, where he is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Government and History.

Rebecca Giles is from Springfield, Virginia. She is a senior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science.

Justin King is from Brentwood, Tennessee. He is a senior at Auburn University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Law & Justice with a minor in Business.

Lucy Marret is from Knoxville, Tennessee. She is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.

Finn McGaan is from Chicago, Illinois. He is a sophomore at Cornell University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Government.


Alexander Reddy is from Nashville, Tennessee. He is currently a senior at Montgomery Bell Academy with an interest in Government and Politics.

Frank Saul is from Chevy Chase, Maryland. He is a recent graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
