Hagerty Announces Staff Changes, Promotions

NASHVILLE, TN—United States Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) today announced several changes to his staff in Washington, D.C. and Tennessee. 

“I’m pleased to welcome these new additions to my staff and announce promotions for others,” said Senator Hagerty. “For three years, my exceptional staff has empowered me to be a strong advocate for the Volunteer State and Tennessee values, and I am grateful for their hard work and service. I look forward to seeing all that we as a team will accomplish in this pivotal year for our nation.”

Promotions

Watson Dill is now serving as a Legislative Aide to Hagerty assisting in the Healthcare, Education, Labor, Pension and Veteran’s Affairs portfolio. Dill previously served as a Legislative Correspondent in Hagerty’s Office. He graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and is a native of Nashville, Tennessee.

Steven Haines is serving as a Brookings LEGIS Fellow. Haines is a Foreign Affairs Officer detailed from the Department of State, where he worked on China issues. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and a graduate degree from The George Washington University. He is a native of Franklin, Tennessee.

Luke Harris has been named Legislative Aide to Hagerty assisting in the Agriculture, Energy, and Transportation portfolio. Harris is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where he received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Michael Manucy has been named Legislative Aide. Manucy previously served as Legislative Correspondent for Hagerty and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.

Ryleigh Rains is now serving as the Bicameral Coordinator in Hagerty’s Washington, D.C. office. Rains previously served as a Legislative Correspondent and is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she received a B.A. in Economics and a Master of Public Service and Administration.

Daniel Tirosh is now serving as National Security Counsel. Tirosh previously served as Research Analyst. He holds a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Santa Cruz and graduated from Stanford Law School.

Additions

Christy Charbonnet is now serving as a Staff Assistant in Senator Hagerty’s Washington, D.C. office. She recently graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering.

John DiGravio is now serving as Legislative Aide to Hagerty assisting in the Banking Committee portfolio. DiGravio previously served as Press Assistant and Policy Aide to the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College and is a native of Austin, Texas.

Emily McCaul is now serving as a Field Representative for Hagerty in the Knoxville region. McCaul interned in Hagerty’s Knoxville office in the summer of 2021, and is a recent graduate of Clemson University where she received a degree in Political Science. 

Jill McElroy is now serving as Special Projects Coordinator in the Nashville office. McElroy received a degree in Public Relations from Carson-Newman University and is a native of Bristol, Tennessee.

Daniel Zimmerman is now serving as an intelligence fellow for Hagerty. Zimmerman has covered various U.S. national security issues across his interagency career, including energy security, trade, and cyber threats spanning East Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
